The Country Club in Langebaan offers relaxed living in a centrally located neighbourhood.
Located on a Mashie Course, it is close to the Golf Estate, but with the freedom associated with an open neighbourhood.
History of the Country Club in Langebaan
The Country Club in Langebaan was approved by the previous Langebaan Municipality as an alternative neighbourhood to Midtown to accommodate the growing town.
It was developed by the Owen Wiggens Trust around a 9- hole golf course for leisure living. The vacant erven sold from R19 000 to R49 000 (on the green) in 1995.
In 1996, Owen Wiggens Trust was liquidated. The Langebaan Municipality seized all unserviced land for outstanding rates and taxes. The massive undeveloped land was eventually sold off to the Frank Robart Family, and they developed the Langebaan Country Estate with a new 18-hole golf course as a private estate(2002).
The original golf course was converted into a Mashie Course. Today, the Country Club in Langebaan has over 1000 dwellings. It has no Homeowners Association, no levy, and is an open neighbourhood, outside the Golf Estate.

Architectural Guidelines of the Country Club
The original guidelines for the Country Club, approved by the Municipality, were as follows:
- Side building lines of 2 m and street 4 meters
- Roof to be black roof tiles and pitched
- Boundary walls- 1,8 m high, bagged/plastered, painted white
- No vibracrete or wire fencing
- Colour must be shades of white
- Minimum dwelling size of 120 m²
- Height 8 meters
