Not Allowed - Guidelines for Advertising and Signage in Langebaan
No advertising or pamflet may be pasted on any wall or structure without owners permission.
- No advertising is allowed along roads, attached to fences or in road reserves.
- No vehicle with FOR SALE sign may be parked on any municipal property or trading area
- No advertising or signage may be attached to or placed on any transformer box, telephone pole, traffic light or any sign erected by the Municipality, Provincial or National Government
- No advertising is allowed within 10 meters from a traffic light, traffic sign or intersection.
- No advertising may be displayed 14 days before event and 3 days after event took place.
- No signs may be painted onto rocks, trees or any natural features.
Process for approval of signs:
- Prescribed form need to be completed
- Payment must be made for application
- Clearly indicate dimensions and position of sign on site
- Free- standing signs must indicate supporting frame and materials used.
- If glass is used in display, it may not exceed 0,900 m² in area and at least 6mm thick
- The owner of the property on which sign is erected or displayed is jointly and severally responsible for maintenance
- If owner fails to comply with requirements, signs will be moved and cost will be payable by owner of property.
