Langebaan Hiking Trails - " Shark Bay Shuffle "

  • Distance: 8.4 km  with 140 m elevation gain
  • Time: 2 hours
  • Urban trail – Not in the National Park
  • Best time: December – April
  • Route:  Park at Shark Bay Beach, walk on the road, past Beach Shack, Shark Bay Hotel, and onto the gravel road to the Yacht Club. Walk along Sunbird Drive through Myburgh Park neighbourhood to the viewpoint and return via Park Drive.

  • Distance: 19,2 km with 441 m elevation gain (HARD), but the best!
  • Time: 5 hours
  • 2-day route with overnight camping at Plankiesbaai
  • Only in the Flower season – only 12 hikers per day
  • Route: Start at Tsaarsbank Gate, walk along the whole Postberg Area. Cross over from the open sea to the lagoon and complete the circular route.
  • See: Wildflowers on foot, Mountain, sea, lagoon, breathtaking views, and wildlife.

  • Distance: 6,9 km
  • Time: 2 hours 
  • Route: Starts at Langebaan Gate. Walk 2,4 km to the Seeberg viewpoint to see breathtaking views at the historical cottage, down to the lagoon for 2 km to the Seeberg Bird Hide, and then back for 2,1 km for a circular trail.
